This long-radius butt-weld pipe elbow enquiry references BW, XS, SCH80 and STD. Carbon steel and stainless steel selections are available as enquiry options. Define one actual wall requirement and the intended pipe change of direction before approving a selected elbow.
Separate wall designations from bend geometry
XS, SCH80 and STD are not established interchangeable designations for every size. Choose the applicable wall specification and confirm the nominal size, measured end thickness and matching pipe. The labels 10 mm, 12 mm, 14 mm, 50 mm and 30 mm need actual nominal and physical dimensions rather than an assumed schedule assignment.
State the required bend angle, centreline radius, centre-to-end dimensions and installation envelope. Long Radius wording does not supply a measured radius or multiplier. Confirm whether the selected ends are equal or reducing; the combined Equal/Reducing entry does not choose an arrangement. Gallery examples show curved elbows without qualifying every variant's dimensions.
End preparation, material and manufacturing records
Confirm the actual connection before acceptance. A butt-weld requirement needs the selected bevel, wall match and joining details. A threaded requirement needs a complete thread designation and engagement; Male/Female and NPT labels do not qualify the butt-weld enquiry. Obtain the exact carbon steel or stainless steel grade and traceability.
Casting requires selected-item process evidence and does not justify adding a seamless route. Painting also needs a specified finish and inspection basis. Class 125 and Low Pressure wording do not define a fixed working pressure. Flexible, corrosion, chemical, UV and underground requirements need actual component and environment evidence.
Quotation details for the elbow installation
Provide the angle and radius drawing, both pipe interfaces, chosen wall designation, connection detail and material specification. Include operating medium, pressure, temperature and exposure, plus dimensional and end-inspection requirements. Evaluate the proposed elbow against the complete piping duty rather than treating listed industries as service approval.
