This swaged-nipple enquiry focuses on a 304 stainless-steel transition fitting with B16.11 and MSS SP-95 references. Identify one offered model before assigning the title's manufacturing and pressure labels to it. The tapered photographs support the fitting family, while the end sizes, alignment, grade and allowable duty require a selected drawing and traceable acceptance records.
Define the complete two-end transition
State the larger and smaller nominal pipe sizes independently. Request outside diameters, bore, wall thickness at each end, overall length and transition dimensions on one drawing. Explain the dimensional basis of the millimetre option and specify the required concentric or eccentric alignment rather than estimating it from an image. Identify the actual thread, socket or weld connection through its own dimensions and governing end specification; Female/Male alone does not establish the interface.
Confirm 304 and the accepted production route
Select the stainless-steel alternative and state the exact material specification for the 304 requirement, supported by records linked to the offered nipple. Carbon-steel options need a separately agreed grade. Resolve the Forged and Casting labels with production and inspection documentation before accepting a manufacturing route. Ask the supplier to explain how the B16.11 and MSS SP-95 references apply to this construction and agree the applicable editions and acceptance criteria.
Qualify the connection for actual duty
The title and table carry different pressure-class labels, so request the selected class and its documented pressure-temperature basis instead of treating general high-pressure wording as a service limit. Provide the fluid, operating pressure and temperature, corrosion conditions and joining requirements for assessment of the complete transition connection. Painting and mounting-hole labels do not qualify finish performance or measured geometry. An actionable enquiry links one end-pair and transition drawing to the exact grade, resolved production route and agreed standard and duty records.
