Thread TypesNPT
This cast NPT full coupling requires material and size confirmation. The title names stainless steel and 25 mm, but the only variant is 10 mm carbon steel. Resolve those records before preparing a quotation or describing the component as suitable for a particular chemical service.
Confirm the full-coupling layout and selected size
Provide a drawing identifying the full-coupling end arrangement, nominal sizes, wall, thread dimensions and tolerances. Clarify how the Reducing table entry relates to the ordered component. The 25 mm title and 10 mm variant do not establish the same dimensional selection.
Allocate the listed 4 in length and 0.26 in hole to actual features and identify the dimensional convention. Check selected availability and installation clearance. Define the complete NPT designation, engagement, mating parts, sealing and thread inspection rather than inferring compatibility from the general thread label.
Resolve material and casting conformity documents
Select the complete material grade, condition and governing document, supported by traceability and certificates. Neither the stainless title nor carbon variant should be treated as a settled supply decision. Obtain casting and inspection records for the actual selected material.
Confirm the intended B16.11 document and edition and the conformity requirements applicable to the order. The casting entry alone does not prove those requirements. Identify the selected Class 3000 basis at the actual material and temperature without converting the class into an assumed operating pressure.
Define finish and chemical-environment acceptance
Agree measurable Smooth finish criteria and delivery protection. State chemical composition and concentration, numerical duty, temperature, cycling, exposure and loads. Clarify which feature claims apply, including any underground use. Obtain relevant corrosion, chemical, UV or flexibility evidence and document material/joint acceptance with the resolved drawing, production, threads and testing package.
