This carbon-steel butt-weld elbow enquiry requires a clear material decision before detailed acceptance. The title includes A234 WPB and ASTM A860 references, but does not assign them to individual models. The Elbow variants and curved photographs establish the fitting family; they do not establish combined conformity or interchangeable grades across the options.
Assign the governing specification to one offered elbow
Identify the exact material specification, grade and edition required, then request traceable material and inspection or test records for the selected item. Choose the carbon-steel option for this enquiry; a stainless-steel alternative needs its own grade and specification. Keep dimensional and joining acceptance explicit alongside the material requirement. The grouped title references should be resolved through the offered model's documents rather than used as evidence of more than one unverified conformity claim.
Define the geometry and weld-end dimensions
State the actual angle, centreline radius, centre-to-end dimensions and installation envelope. Explain the dimensional basis of the millimetre options and identify nominal size, outside diameter and wall at both ends. For an equal or reducing requirement, show the selected size pair and proposed weld preparation on a drawing. The Male/Female, head-code and mounting-hole fields cannot define that welded interface. Photographs cannot supply a numerical angle, radius, grade or wall schedule for the chosen variant.
Link manufacture to the complete joint's acceptance
Obtain production and inspection evidence compatible with the selected requirements before accepting the Casting label as a route. Specify coating preparation, coverage and required weld-area condition instead of relying on Painting alone. Provide mating pipes, fluid, pressure, temperature and corrosion conditions and agree the joining and inspection plan. Pipe Class 150 does not qualify allowable duty, and a warranty term does not establish service life. Acceptance needs matching material, dimensional, manufacturing and joint-duty records.
