This black carbon-steel reducer enquiry includes A234 WPB, seamless construction and a concentric transition requirement. The reducer options and tapered forms in the photograph support the family. The selected fitting still needs a large-by-small dimensional drawing and matching material records before those requirements can be accepted for the actual pipe transition.
Specify the two end sizes and concentric layout together
Identify both nominal sizes, measured outside diameters and actual walls. Show common centreline alignment, overall length, transition profile and weld preparation on the selected drawing. Explain what each millimetre label measures; one size entry does not define a complete reducer pair. Confirm the required transition against both adjoining pipes, including clearance and access for welding and inspection. The photograph cannot establish precise alignment or end measurements for every option, and the mounting-hole and Hexagon fields do not replace that drawing.
Link WPB material and seamless construction to records
Select Carbon Steel for the A234 WPB requirement and request the complete specification, edition and traceable grade evidence. Stainless Steel and Alloy alternatives require separate exact assignments. Obtain production records demonstrating the required seamless construction and explaining the actual forming route rather than accepting Seamless or Forged labels alone. ANSI without a full dimensional standard number does not define length or tolerances, so agree the applicable dimensional basis and inspection explicitly.
Define the black coating and complete-transition acceptance
Specify preparation, coating coverage and weld-zone condition beyond Black and Painting. Provide fluid, pressure, temperature, corrosion and mating-pipe conditions with joining and inspection requirements for service assessment. Assess allowable service for the completed reducer from its material and joint records; the Pipe Class 150 label cannot supply that qualification. Confirm the offered dimensional range separately rather than treating Customized Size as proof of capability or availability. Acceptance should tie the selected end-pair and centreline drawing to actual walls, exact material and manufacturing evidence for the complete welded transition.
