The ASME B16.5 A105 carbon steel socket-weld flange enquiry also names FF, RF, WN and a Class 150–2500 range. Choose one accepted flange configuration; those terms do not establish that every named feature is supplied together.
Select type and facing separately
Twelve actual variants pair Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel with Blind, Weld Neck, Slip On, Socket Weld, Lap Joint or Threaded Flange, each carrying a 1/2"~24" range. Select one type/material combination and exact nominal size. Weld neck and socket weld are distinct listed types.
Confirm the required facing and class on the accepted drawing. FF/RF and the class range are not discrete actual options. Agree the B16.5 edition and applicable type/size/class scope, including the delivered pipe-end arrangement and mating-pipe requirements.
Verify drilling and material records
Require flange outside diameter, thickness, bore, neck or socket geometry, facing dimensions and finish, bolt circle, hole count and hole diameters with tolerances. A six-hole entry and broad bolt-hole diameter range cannot establish drilling across every size and class.
The two viewed references show open-bore machined flange forms, one with apparent threaded-bore detail. They cannot certify the selected socket-weld configuration, facing, grade or drilling. A105 naming needs accepted carbon material scope, product form, condition and traceable inspection evidence; it does not assign a grade to the Stainless Steel option.
Accept the complete construction joint
CNC Machined describes processing without establishing dimensional or facing-finish compliance. Confirm inspection and assembly requirements for the selected flange rather than accepting them from surface appearance. Construction wording does not supply a numerical service rating.
Class naming requires the applicable material-temperature basis. Identify the compatible gasket, fasteners, mating flange and installation requirements with actual medium, pressure, temperature, cycling and mechanical loads. Submit the selected configuration, complete end/drilling drawing and material/finish records for review of the assembled joint.
