An equal tee enquiry should identify the required branch connection and relate it to both run ends. For a project specifying DN300 and SCH80, establish the selected fitting drawing before evaluating material or manufacturing claims. The drawing and supporting records need to describe one configuration that can be compared with the intended pipeline.

Confirm the DN300 and Equal-Branch Requirement

State the nominal sizes at both run ends and the branch, then provide the corresponding mating pipe outside diameters. Ask for the dimensions that establish the required equal-branch relationship and the wall requirement at each connection. A single millimetre label does not identify this three-port configuration. Confirm the nominal-size convention and the mapping of the requested DN300 fitting to the selected model before accepting the dimensional proposal.

Name the Exact Material and Production Requirements

If the project specifies A234, identify the required grade and applicable edition explicitly. Request traceable material records for the quoted tee instead of treating the specification number as a complete grade designation. Give the wall-schedule convention and obtain the actual thicknesses for the chosen size and material. Where seamless construction is required, obtain manufacturing evidence linked to the selected item. Define weld-end preparation, dimensional requirements and any surface treatment independently.

Assess the Tee as Part of the Welded Assembly

Provide the fluid, operating pressure and temperature, together with joint and fabrication requirements. Identify the governing fitting and pressure-design standards and request documentation supporting the selected tee's scope. An isolated class number or visible product marking does not establish the qualified duty of the complete assembly. Finalize the enquiry with the three-port drawing, size and wall mapping, exact grade, manufacturing records and documented operating limits for review against the pipeline design.
