The SCH80 long-radius 6-inch 45-degree elbow enquiry requires a material and chemical-service review before selection. The actual choice is Elbow / 1/2" - 12" / Carbon Steel; establish the supplied material and complete component specification for the requested configuration.
Resolve material for the chemical medium
Obtain the accepted specification, grade, product form, condition and traceable inspection records without certifying carbon or stainless delivery from naming alone. Corrosion-resistant wording cannot guarantee compatibility with an unspecified chemical or operating temperature.
Confirm the intended ASME document number, edition and component scope explicitly. The incomplete ASME name does not justify guessing a standard. Agree the supplied joining method on the selected end drawing before accepting welding preparation or any thread requirements.
Confirm the requested LR dimensions and SCH80 wall
Six-inch size, 45-degree angle and Long Radius are title particulars rather than separate actual geometry options. Specify exact nominal and measured ends, centerline radius, center-to-end dimensions, wall thickness and tolerances. SCH80 needs the selected size/wall basis, while the repeated dimensional ranges cannot complete the drawing.
The viewed dark elbows include a reference pair with apparent 3-inch SCH40 WPB markings. These cannot certify requested size, schedule, stainless material, angle, radius or forging. Verify manufacturing and surface acceptance for Forged and smooth terminology; Hexagon and Bend wording does not supply exact end geometry.
Accept the actual chemical operating envelope
Low Pressure and Not Rated establish no numerical service limit for this construction request. Assess the resolved material and joining arrangement against the actual medium, including concentration where relevant.
Provide pressure, temperature, cycling, corrosion allowance and mechanical loads with installation and inspection requirements. Review those conditions together with the accepted standard/component scope and complete end/angle/radius drawing before chemical suitability and fit are accepted.
