This SCH40 forged welded carbon steel tee entry uses generic ASTM and High Pressure wording. Its actual selections say Reducer, despite the tee title and Equal table geometry. Use an agreed item drawing to establish what will be supplied before specifying its wall, material or connections.
Link SCH40 to one selected fitting configuration
The range-style 1/2–110-inch option is not a list of confirmed individual sizes. Select the required nominal size and dimensional system, then identify tee run/branch ports or reducer inlet/outlet ends. Obtain full dimensions, mating pipe details and an accepted drawing for that configuration.
Specify actual end-wall values, the governing wall document and dimensional tolerances for the chosen SCH40 requirement. Schedule wording alone does not state thickness. Customized length, height and hole entries supply no measurements, so include those details wherever they apply to the ordered component.
Complete the ASTM material and production specification
Choose between the Carbon Steel and a234wpb option labels using a documented material package. Obtain the complete designation, standard and edition, condition, heat traceability and certificates. Generic ASTM wording leaves the precise requirements open; A234 WPB must be allocated to the selected supply.
Confirm which manufacturing and connection operations the forged/welded terms describe. Obtain production evidence and agree actual end preparation without assuming seamless manufacture or butt-weld ends. Define any threaded component separately, clarify Hexagon wording and establish the Plain delivery finish and protection requirements.
Agree a rating basis and inspection scope
Provide the actual fluid, composition, pressure, temperature, cycling, corrosion conditions and mechanical loads. A High Pressure label cannot establish numerical capability. Review the selected steel, wall and joints against that duty, then agree fit-up, orientation, clearance, testing, marking and material, production and dimensional records in the quotation.
