This SCH40 WPB carbon steel end cap is listed for water supply and construction enquiries. The title combines A234, B16.9 and EN/DIN wording with corrosion resistance. Confirm the chosen dimensional and material requirements before treating the combined references as an accepted conformity specification.
Confirm actual wall thickness and the cap interface
The only variant is Cap / 10 mm / Carbon Steel. Establish what 10 mm measures and specify nominal size, actual outside dimensions and wall. SCH40 is a title designation; obtain the relevant dimensional basis and actual wall requirement instead of using it as a numerical pressure rating.
Flange connectivity appears in the table with four-inch length, quarter-inch mounting hole, round shape, hexagon head and inch measurement system. Request a drawing allocating these entries, tolerances, flange face, drilling, mating component and sealing details. They do not individually define a complete connection.

Identify governing A234 and B16.9 documents, editions and selected scopes. The EN/DIN wording lacks a document number, so obtain its exact identifier and intended requirement separately. Do not assume all references are equivalent or that the offered cap conforms to every mentioned system.
Request WPB material condition, certificates, traceability and manufacturing records supporting the machining table entry. Painting and corrosion-resistant wording need a coating system, preparation, thickness and exposure-related acceptance criteria. Other UV, chemical, flexible and underground labels require applicable evidence for the selected installation.
Set water and construction service acceptance criteria
Provide water chemistry, any potable-water requirements, pressure, temperature, cycling, external exposure and construction loads. Obtain selected material, coating, joint and rating evidence. Low Pressure and Class 150 are source labels without numerical limits here; agree inspection/testing and documentary acceptance rather than relying on the broad application list.
