This half-inch carbon steel NPT pipe-reducer enquiry includes JIS, Equal and Casting references. Actual size choices are metric labels in carbon or stainless steel. Confirm how the half-inch title relates to the selected ends before treating the listing as a complete connection or dimensional specification.
Map the half-inch requirement to the actual ends
The five options read 10, 12, 14, 50 and 30 mm. Obtain their dimensional meaning and the intended nominal connection sizes. Do not assign a half-inch selection by conversion alone. Resolve Equal wording against the reducer function using both-end dimensions, wall and transition geometry.
Locate the 4 in length and 0.25 in hole on the component drawing, and confirm the missing unit for height 8. Agree the dimensional system, tolerances and installation orientation. No wall schedule or concentric/eccentric arrangement is supplied here, so these requirements need an explicit selection.
Specify the NPT fit and JIS documentation
Define full thread designation, male/female end arrangement, engagement, mating components, sealing and inspection criteria. The half-inch reference needs allocation within that connection package. Identify the exact JIS document, edition and scope with conformity evidence rather than using the generic name as certification.
Choose the complete steel grade, governing material specification, condition, traceability and certificates for the ordered option. Verify Casting and subsequent operations through production records. Define Smooth surface locations, measurable finish acceptance and protection; neither the carbon title nor finish label describes every alternative.
Agree service acceptance before quotation
Provide medium chemistry, pressure, temperature, cycling, corrosion, exposure and loads for the selected item and joints. Qualitative pressure and an unrated class leave numerical limits unconfirmed. Obtain evidence for required flexibility, chemical or UV resistance, then agree fit, alignment, testing, marking and material, casting, dimensional, thread and surface reports.
