The GOST 17375 carbon steel 90-degree butt-welding elbow enquiry needs an agreed dimensional and inspection basis for the supplied bend. Oil or chemical application wording should be evaluated against the actual fluid and complete pipe-joint operating conditions.
Agree the GOST dimensional basis
Specify the applicable document edition, dimensional series and required conformity evidence. A reference bearing another standard's markings does not establish GOST compliance. The viewed marked elbow includes ANSI LR90, SCH40 and A234 WPB references; the other curved fitting is unmarked.
The sole actual selection is Elbow / 1/2" - 12" / Carbon Steel. Choose the exact nominal size and require a drawing showing the angle, centerline radius, center-to-end dimensions, end diameters, bores, wall thickness and tolerances. The range does not establish discrete availability or a selected radius.
Check the bend and mating pipe ends
Repeated length, height and mounting-hole ranges cannot replace measured geometry. Neither reference photograph certifies the supplied grade, schedule, radius or GOST acceptance. Match the selected drawing to the routing space and both mating pipes.
Confirm the actual delivered joining system and relevant welding preparation or thread details before installation acceptance. Butt-welding naming and generic Hexagon wording do not supply the full end drawing. Agree required fit-up dimensions and inspection criteria for the complete joint.
Qualify oil and chemical service
Carbon Steel needs an accepted specification, grade, product form, condition and traceable material records. Forged naming requires actual manufacturing evidence separately from installation welding. Smooth and corrosion-resistant descriptions cannot establish coating chemistry or resistance to every process fluid.
Identify the fluid composition and concentration, pressure, temperature, cycling, flow and external loads. Low Pressure and Not Rated leave numerical capability unspecified. Submit the accepted GOST drawing, delivered end requirements, material/manufacturing and surface records together with the operating basis for final service review.
