This GOST 12820–12821 ASTM A350 LF2 flange enquiry highlights CNC-machined forged construction for machinery. Select the applicable dimensional document and actual flange construction before assessing fit or interchangeability.
Choose the governing GOST document and construction
The combined designation does not certify every flange to both documents or establish equivalence with another standard system. Agree the required document, edition, scope, type and pressure/class basis with compliance evidence. No numerical operating envelope is supplied.
Twelve actual variants combine Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel, one 1/2-inch to 24-inch range and blind, weld-neck, slip-on, socket-weld, lap-joint or threaded types. Choose exact size and construction. The range is one option, not discrete inventory. Threaded reference photos do not establish that every supplied construction is threaded.
Accept the measured interface and LF2 evidence
Define outside diameter, thickness, bore, facing geometry and roughness, gasket fit, bolt circle, hole quantity and diameter and tolerances. Six-hole wording and the repeated range do not determine universal drilling. Weld-neck, slip-on and socket-weld requests need their selected pipe/end/assembly acceptance; blind, lap-joint and threaded choices need corresponding closure, mating assembly or thread criteria.
Assign any ASTM A350 LF2 requirement to the accepted carbon steel product specification, selected grade/condition and heat-traceable certificate. It does not certify stainless alternatives. Obtain actual production, relevant condition/test and inspection evidence; CNC machining and forged naming do not prove completed manufacture or heat-treatment acceptance.
Qualify finish and construction machinery duty
Surface color does not identify coating chemistry or universal corrosion resistance. Reference photos cannot certify grade, forging, GOST compliance or class. Specify finish and exposure criteria with the selected material.
Provide actual medium composition, temperature, pressure, cycling and mechanical/interface requirements for the complete joint. Construction machinery naming supplies context only. Send selected GOST document/type/class, exact-size face/drilling/end drawing, material and production evidence, finish and duty. Assessment must include the mating flange, gasket and fasteners so dimensional fit and operating suitability share an accepted basis.
