This valve and flange gasket listing uses flexible graphite composite and heat-resistant wording. Its only material option is Stainless Steel, without an explanation of how that entry relates to the graphite description. Resolve the supplied construction before using the product as a thermal-service replacement.
Establish what the composite description means
Obtain the complete material declaration and a construction drawing for the proposed gasket. Ask whether the stainless entry describes a component, an alternative or a source error. Do not assume a laminated or reinforced design, a particular graphite formulation or a specific arrangement of metallic parts.
Once the design is identified, request the applicable graphite and other component specifications, material condition and traceability. Any binder or reinforcement details should come from the actual records. Flexible wording alone does not supply compression, recovery or creep properties for joint selection.
Check the valve or flange operating requirement
Identify the gasket location, mating face geometry and relevant equipment specification. Describe the media, concentration, temperature, pressure and cycling conditions. Heat-resistant wording gives no maximum temperature or allowable pressure, and graphite references do not demonstrate compatibility with every environment.
Pipe Class 125 is a source label rather than a 125 psi limit or complete assembly rating. Review the selected construction against the actual flange and bolting design, including sealing acceptance requirements. No fire-safe, emissions or other performance approval is established by the broad application wording.
Complete the dimensional and supply enquiry
Specify inside and outside diameters, thickness, profile and tolerances on the approved drawing. Clarify the 10 mm pipe-size option and the unstated unit and purpose of the 1/16 mounting-hole entry. Agree any required finish beyond Smooth, dimensional inspection, material documents, quantity, handling and delivery timing after the composition has been confirmed.
