Custom carbon steel flanges are listed for chemical processing plant enquiries, with CNC machining, Polished finish and A105 references in the title. Blind and weld neck appear as separate selectable types. Identify which component the project requires before agreeing the material, drawing and purchase specification.
Choose blind or weld neck geometry
The combined Blind WN wording should not be treated as a single interchangeable design. Carbon Steel options include both types, alongside other flange choices. Specify the intended closure or pipe connection and obtain the appropriate drawing for that function rather than relying on the combined title.
Check nominal size, facing, thickness and the complete drilling pattern. For a weld neck selection, also define the bore, neck dimensions and weld preparation. Four half-inch holes are listed in the table; confirm them for the selected flange. The broad 1/2–120 inch range does not confirm every combination.
Set machining and material acceptance
CNC Machined does not supply dimensional tolerances or surface roughness. Agree the drawing revision, machining requirements and inspection method, including the finish intended by Polished. These details should be specific to the selected component and its mating equipment.
Request material records supporting the A105 reference, including the actual grade, condition and required traceability. Generic ANSI/ASME wording does not identify a numbered flange specification, edition or pressure class. Establish those requirements independently instead of assuming a familiar standard or importing a rating.
Describe the chemical process duty
Provide the fluid, concentration, contaminants, pressure, temperature and operating cycles for assessment. Review material and joint suitability against the plant requirements; the application wording is not blanket chemical compatibility approval. Confirm availability, dimensional and material inspections, marking, preservation and delivery timing for the chosen blind or weld neck flange.
