This cast carbon steel threaded coupling is presented for construction, oil and water enquiries. Half and full coupling wording appears in the title, while the single variant is a generic 10 mm Coupling. Select the required configuration before confirming dimensions and operating acceptance.
Define half or full coupling ends for the project
State the actual connection count and layout on a drawing, with nominal sizes, wall, thread dimensions and tolerances. Clarify how the Reducing entry applies to the selected ends. The generic variant does not establish that both half and full arrangements are available for the order.
Identify what the 10 mm option measures and reconcile it with the inch dimensional system. Allocate the 4 in length and 0.26 in hole to real features, including installation clearance and selected availability. No particular standard number or material grade is supplied by these dimensions.
Specify casting and the complete NPT connection
Choose the full carbon steel designation, condition and governing document, supported by traceability, casting and inspection records. Obtain the exact NPT designation, thread engagement, mating component and sealing requirements. Define dimensional and thread examination criteria for the ordered coupling rather than assuming universal fit.
Establish the Class 3000 rating basis at the actual material and temperature. Low Pressure does not replace a numerical operating specification, and the class number is not a stand-alone pressure value. Agree measurable Smooth finish requirements, storage protection and delivery inspection.
Qualify the selected oil or water conditions
Provide fluid composition, numerical duty, temperature, cycling, corrosion exposure and loads. Water wording does not establish potable-water approval. Clarify the applicable feature scope, including any buried installation, and obtain relevant flexibility, corrosion, chemical or UV evidence. Document material/joint acceptance with the selected drawing, casting, threads, rating and testing package in the quotation.
