This JIS B2312 90-degree elbow enquiry focuses on a carbon steel pipe direction change, with stainless steel alternatives also available. Confirm the selected material, actual supplied ends and bend dimensions before accepting the component for the intended installation.
Clarify the elbow interface before matching pipe
The original welding wording requires clarification. Female and NPT are listed separately, so obtain the actual end detail before choosing mating pipe. A threaded selection needs a complete NPT designation, gender and engagement requirements. A welded selection needs pipe-wall matching, preparation and inspection details.
Open gallery bores do not establish the supplied connection. The dark and bright elbow photographs identify curved components but cannot qualify a thread standard, material grade or manufacturing route. Keep the selected drawing and material identification tied to the actual order.
Specify the angle, radius and selected material
Confirm the required 90-degree angle, centreline radius, centre-to-end dimensions, wall thickness and installation clearance. No long-radius multiplier or wall schedule is established. Map the four millimetre size labels to nominal pipe designations and measured dimensions; length 4 in and a unitless height cannot qualify every choice.
Select carbon or stainless steel with its exact specification, grade and heat-traceable certificate. Appearance does not establish grades WPB, 304 or 316. JIS B2312 requires a selected edition and dimensional/manufacturing conformity evidence. The Casting reference also needs actual process records; do not assume wrought or seamless production.
Unrated service and chemical exposure checks
Not Rated supplies no pressure rating, and Low Pressure is not a numerical operating limit. Assess actual material, wall, medium, temperature and governing design requirements. Chemical resistance needs material, finish and exposure evidence; Painting does not establish compatibility. Provide chosen nominal size, material, angle/radius/end drawing, actual manufacturing route and duty with the material and dimensional acceptance requirements.
