This carbon steel eccentric pipe-reducer enquiry carries A234 WPB, ANSI/ASTM and Casting references. The original table says Equal, while actual choices are Reducer in carbon or stainless steel. Resolve the end relationship and offset on an accepted drawing before confirming the ordered configuration.
Define the eccentric transition and installation orientation
Identify the meaning of the 10, 12, 14, 50 and 30 mm labels, then specify both end sizes, offset and transition geometry. The eccentric title does not supply these measurements. Agree orientation for the actual piping system instead of applying a universal installation position.
Allocate the table dimensions of 4 in overall length, height 8 and 0.25 in hole diameter to the correct parts. Confirm the missing height unit, nominal-size system, wall values and tolerances. No schedule is listed here; do not carry SCH20 forward from a different reducer.
Allocate material standards and the cast supply
Obtain the exact selected grade, governing specification and edition, condition, traceability and certificates. A234 WPB wording must be assigned to the ordered material package rather than every stainless/carbon option. Verify Casting and applicable conformity through production and inspection records without assuming forging or seamless manufacture.
Generic ANSI/ASTM names do not identify a complete dimensional basis. Specify the actual male/female NPT connections, designation, engagement and mating/sealing requirements. Define Smooth surface locations, measurable finish acceptance and delivery protection; no paint formulation, polished treatment or corrosion lifetime is supplied.
Confirm service evidence for the selected reducer
Provide medium chemistry, pressure, temperature, cycling, exposure and loads. Low-pressure wording and an unrated class leave the numerical duty unspecified. Obtain evidence for any required flexibility, corrosion, chemical or UV resistance under those conditions. Agree orientation, clearance, alignment, testing, marking and material, production, dimensional and finish reports with the quotation.
