This pipe flange page supports a three-inch WN RTJ enquiry with class 1500, ASTM A105 carbon steel and pipe-end preparation requirements. Confirm the actual neck and facing configuration before matching the flange to the joint. The complete request needs the pipe dimensions, ring-joint arrangement and selected-part material and rating evidence.
Specify the neck and pipe-end geometry
Provide the nominal pipe size, actual outside diameter and wall thickness, then state the required flange bore and neck dimensions. Define the pipe-end preparation and any dimensional tolerances needed for joining. Ask for a drawing of the exact WN configuration being considered. A general flange image cannot establish the neck geometry or show that a selectable size represents the three-inch requirement.
Match the RTJ facing to the mating joint
Identify the required ring-joint facing and provide the mating flange and ring or gasket dimensions. Confirm the relevant groove, bolt pattern and overall joint geometry under the governing dimensional standard and edition. These details should be reviewed as one mating arrangement. A facing name alone does not establish that the selected flange and the other joint components match.
Confirm class 1500 and the A105 material scope
For the Carbon Steel configuration, request the exact ASTM A105 material specification and manufacturing confirmation. A Stainless Steel alternative requires separate grade qualification. State design pressure, temperature and the service medium, then obtain the pressure-temperature class that applies to the same selected flange. Do not treat the class number as a standalone operating pressure. Review the neck, pipe-end and ring-joint drawing with material, construction and rating documentation before accepting the flange for service.
