This A860 carbon steel pipe cap enquiry follows the offshore pipeline title context and its low-pressure painted description. WPHY 42, WPHY 46 and WPHY 52 are listed together. Select one complete material designation and project requirement before treating these references as an accepted supply specification.
Select the material designation and cap configuration
The only actual variant is Cap / 10 mm / Carbon Steel; individual WPHY designations are not separate options. Request the chosen grade and condition, governing A860 document and edition, applicable component scope, certificates and traceability. Confirm availability for that specification directly.
Clarify the size meaning and obtain nominal size, outside dimensions, wall and tolerances. The table states Flange connectivity with round shape, hexagon head, four-inch overall length and a quarter-inch mounting hole. Allocate these entries on a drawing that also identifies the face, drilling and mating/sealing interface.
Define manufacture and protection for the selected exposure
Machining is recorded without a complete manufacturing route. Obtain production and inspection records for the offered design rather than importing butt-weld, forging or seamless descriptions from other caps. The inch measurement system and isolated table dimensions do not resolve the 10 mm option by themselves.
Specify paint system, preparation, thickness, protection and inspection criteria for the project environment. Corrosion, chemical, UV, flexible and underground labels require relevant evidence. A painted surface or broad feature list does not establish suitability for every marine or offshore exposure.
Document the offshore pipeline operating and acceptance basis
Provide medium composition, pressure, temperature, cycling, mechanical loads and installation environment. Request selected material, coating, joint and rating evidence plus any project-specific approvals. Low Pressure and Class 150 do not state numerical limits here; agree examination/testing and documentary acceptance before relying on the offshore-use description.
