This WPB carbon steel 90-degree butt-weld elbow is listed with forged wording and both long- and short-radius references. Its actual size option spans a half-inch to 12 inches. Choose the required radius, nominal size and wall rather than treating the title alternatives as one geometry.
Select the radius for the required 90-degree bend
Confirm whether the order requires a long- or short-radius construction and provide the actual dimension on a drawing. Specify nominal sizing convention, wall thickness or schedule, matching pipe dimensions and tolerances. The existing range variant does not select a radius or create separate radius options.
Obtain finished length, height and hole measurements because the table repeats the range under those fields. Clarify the Hexagon head code and its purpose. No seamless route or specific wall schedule is supplied, so the drawing should state these requirements only when confirmed.
Verify WPB material and forged supply documentation
Request the complete selected material designation, condition, certificates and traceability. Define the governing A234 document, edition and actual component conformity scope. Confirm the manufacturing route behind the forged title and table wording rather than interpreting Forged Surface as a finished production record.
Allocate the butt-weld title and NPT entry to individual ends through an approved schedule. Include preparation, full thread designation if applicable, mating parts, sealing and examination. Set measurable criteria for the smooth finish, surface inspection and delivery protection.
Define construction duty and corrosion acceptance
Describe the actual medium composition, pressure and temperature envelope, cycling, external exposure and mechanical loads. Low Pressure and Not Rated provide no numerical operating approval for the chosen radius and material. Evaluate corrosion resistance against those conditions and obtain the selected material, joint and rating evidence. Agree dimensional inspection and testing requirements with the final supply specification.
