This ASTM A234 SCH80 carbon steel eccentric reducer enquiry focuses on a pipe-size transition with an offset arrangement and butt-welding requirements. Confirm the actual reduction, selected material and supplied interface before ordering. Stainless steel alternatives also appear in the choices.
Paired pipe sizes and eccentric offset
Specify large and small nominal designations, outside diameters and both-end wall thicknesses. Establish actual unequal ends on the selected drawing, then confirm offset and installation orientation from the piping design. A tapered gallery example cannot qualify the supplied eccentric dimensions.
Five millimetre size labels do not give a complete large-by-small pair. Obtain end-to-end length and offset dimensions for the chosen reducer. Overall Length 4 in, a height without a unit and the mounting-hole entry do not establish geometry across all selections.
A234 material and actual welding or threaded ends
A234 alone does not establish WPB or another exact grade. Choose the actual carbon or stainless steel selection with its matching material specification, grade and heat-traceable certificate. SCH80 requires confirmation of nominal sizes and measured walls; it is not a universal wall commitment across the listing.
Confirm the actual welded or female threaded interface. Butt-weld requirements need bevel, preparation, pipe-wall matching and inspection. NPT supply needs the complete designation, gender and engagement. Obtain selected end and manufacturing records, including evidence where forged construction is required, before accepting the component.
Class 150 duty and surface acceptance
Class 150 and Low Pressure do not establish a fixed operating-pressure limit. Assess actual material, wall, medium, temperature and governing design requirements for petrochemical, marine, construction, power or heating duty. Smooth does not define measured roughness or a coating system. Chemical and corrosion resistance need selected material, finish and exposure evidence; Flexible does not prove movement capacity. Provide paired sizes, offset/end drawing, exact material, actual route and duty with dimensional and material inspection requirements.
