This steel tube listing references ASTM A179, A192, seamless carbon material and small diameter for boilers and heat exchangers. The table includes stainless steel, ERW and outside diameters of 219–1066 mm. Confirm the actual specification, material and size before selecting the tube for a thermal component.
Identify the ordered specification and supplied material
Request the actual specification, edition, grade, condition, traceability and material inspection records. Resolve carbon and stainless wording through supply documentation. Establish seamless or ERW production with manufacturing evidence. The A179 and A192 references do not select one ordered specification or demonstrate interchangeable materials and acceptance requirements.
The original photograph shows bundled round tubes with open ends, not measured dimensions or verified grade. Confirm applicable product coverage and conformity records for the selected boiler or exchanger position. Generic API and ISO 9001 entries do not establish approval of the offered tube for the intended thermal system.
Reconcile small-diameter wording with the tube drawing
Specify the actual outside diameter, bore, wall and length required at the selected position. The variants provide a 6–20 mm wall range with 12 m or 6 m lengths. Relate those choices and the 219–1066 mm table range to the drawing rather than assuming they establish a small-diameter tube section.
Set straightness, roundness, ends and joint geometry. Clarify which dimension is governed by ±1% and define the measurement basis. Confirm actual Cold Rolled finish, Non-oiled supply, required cleanliness and preservation. Pipe appearance cannot verify internal surface condition, exact wall or fit with exchanger or boiler connections.
Agree thermal conditions and component inspection
Provide medium, contaminants, pressure, temperature, cycles, gradients and loads for the actual installation. Assess the documented material condition, construction and geometry against that duty. Agree material, dimensional, surface, end and required project tests with criteria and traceable reports. No numerical rating, heat-transfer value or service-life guarantee follows from the specification and application wording alone.
