This power plant boiler enquiry names Grade B under A106 and records an ERW carbon steel pipe. High-temperature wording identifies a proposed use rather than a numerical operating limit. The selected material, manufacturing applicability and boiler component requirements need confirmation before the pipe is accepted for that duty.
Confirm the actual boiler component and thermal conditions
Identify the proposed component, its fluid and the relevant design or project requirements. Provide pressure, temperature, operating cycles, thermal transients and mechanical loads. The supplier needs the actual duty to assess the offered material and joint, rather than treating general boiler wording as an approval.
Include water or steam chemistry, corrosion conditions and the required inspection criteria where relevant. The title also mentions drilling and EMT services; those roles require separate mechanical or installation acceptance. They do not qualify a boiler pipe automatically for other duties.
Check Grade B and the offered production route
Obtain the relevant A106 edition and establish its applicability to the actual ERW supply. Request the selected grade, condition, chemistry, mechanical properties, production and weld inspection records. Retain the documented route until evidence resolves it instead of silently assuming seamless manufacture.
Clarify how the cold-rolled table entry relates to the actual production sequence and any required heat treatment. API and ISO 9001 labels need documents with applicable scope. A generic carbon steel table field does not independently verify the title grade or product certification.
Agree dimensions and order acceptance
Choose the exact outside diameter, wall and length from the broad 219–1066 mm diameter and 6–20 mm thickness entries, with 6 m or 12 m length options. Define the ±1% tolerance basis, end preparation, straightness and ovality. Agree tests, traceability, non-oiled preservation, actual-weight invoicing and delivery confirmation for the selected pipe.
