This carbon steel reducer enquiry carries a 48-inch title reference with NPT plumbing wording. Actual selections instead use five metric size labels in stainless or carbon steel. Confirm whether the title size is available and how the listed dimensions relate before accepting a supplied item.

Reconcile the 48-inch enquiry with actual size choices

The options read 10, 12, 14, 50 and 30 mm; none is a dedicated 48-inch selection. Obtain the meaning of each label and a supply drawing for the requested nominal size. Do not convert these entries into evidence of title-size availability.

Resolve Equal wording against the reducer end relationship using both connection sizes, wall, transition and orientation. Allocate the 4 in overall length and 0.25 in hole to their components, and confirm the missing unit for height 8. Agree the dimensional system and tolerances on the actual drawing.

Clarify standards and the NPT connection package

The title combines ASTM B16.9 wording with EN10253-2. Identify the exact governing documents, editions and component scope instead of assuming equivalence or compliance. Confirm the selected grade, material specification, condition, traceability and certificates, and verify the listed Casting route through production records.

Define male/female ends, full NPT designation, engagement, mating parts, sealing and thread inspection. The reference names do not establish a butt-weld connection. Specify measurable Smooth finish acceptance and delivery protection; no schedule, wall thickness or stainless grade is supplied by the general labels.

Assess the proposed plumbing conditions

Provide medium chemistry, pressure, temperature, cycling, exposure and mechanical loads. Low Pressure and an unrated class leave operating limits to be established. Obtain evidence for any required flexibility, corrosion, chemical or UV performance, then agree fit, alignment, testing, marking and material, production, dimensional, thread and finish documentation in the quotation.
