This reducing tee enquiry concerns a carbon-steel butt-weld branch connection with ASME B16.9 and WPB references. Treat the run and branch as three separately specified pipe ends. The listing's generic millimetre and material choices need a selected-model drawing before they can define a reducing combination or establish the offered item's material and manufacturing qualification.
Map the run and branch dimensions
Identify both run ends and the branch by nominal size, outside diameter, wall thickness and weld preparation. Explain what each millimetre option measures and show the selected combination on a drawing. Equal/Reducing does not identify which option has a smaller branch or different run ends. Include centre-to-end lengths, branch orientation and clearance for the adjoining pipe layout. Photographs support the tee family, but cannot establish every end dimension or wall schedule; the Male/Female and mounting-hole fields cannot replace the required three-end geometry.
Document WPB material and the production route
Choose the carbon-steel option for the WPB requirement and obtain the exact material specification and traceable grade documentation. Stainless-steel alternatives need their own grade and specification. Request the applicable ASME B16.9 edition and dimensional and inspection acceptance for the selected tee. Production records should resolve the manufacturing description before Seamless or Forged is accepted as an actual route. Do not infer those properties from the fitting's dark surface or visible form. Define coating preparation, coverage and weld-zone condition rather than relying on the Painting label alone.
Qualify the whole branch connection
Provide the run and branch pipe specifications, fluid, pressure, temperature and corrosion conditions. Pipe Class 1000 does not by itself establish a pressure-temperature limit for the selected item. Agree the joining and inspection plan for all three connections, with acceptance tied to the selected drawing and matching material and manufacturing evidence.
