This carbon steel elbow listing targets oil and gas pipelines with ASME B16.9, A234 WPB, seamless and long-radius butt-weld references. The table lists Welding, FORGED and NPT. Confirm the actual end method, material and manufacturing package before selecting the fitting for a pipeline connection.
Resolve butt-weld and NPT end information
Obtain a selected end drawing and specify welded or threaded supply. Butt Weld and Welding entries do not resolve the NPT field. Define bevels, end preparation and mating pipes for the actual connection, and avoid assuming that generic threaded and welded descriptions both apply to the same ordered elbow.
Request the material specification, grade WPB, condition, traceability and inspection records. Clarify actual construction and forming against the Seamless and FORGED wording through manufacturing documentation. Identify ASME B16.9 dimensional coverage and edition, together with the applicable A234 product requirements and conformity evidence.
Specify the 90-degree long-radius drawing geometry
The half-inch to 12-inch choice is a size range, not one actual fitting. State nominal size, outside diameter, bore, wall, angle, radius and centre-to-end dimensions. The original photograph shows two curved open-ended fittings but cannot measure a 90-degree angle, verify long radius or certify the supplied grade.
Confirm actual overall length and height. Repeated range values, Hexagon head and mounting-hole entries do not establish a flange or hole layout. Specify relevant dimensional and end tolerances explicitly. Verify actual smooth finish and protection; the corrosion-resistant label does not prove compatibility with the intended oil or gas medium.
Agree pipeline duty and measurable fitting acceptance
Provide medium composition, contaminants, pressure, temperature, cycles, exposure, loads and joints. Low Pressure and Not Rated entries establish no numerical allowable limit for the order. Agree material, dimensional, angle, radius, end, surface and required project tests with criteria and traceable reports before approving the elbow for the actual line.
