This carbon steel elbow listing addresses industrial boiler piping with ASME B16.9, SCH80, a 45-degree angle and long-radius butt-weld references. The table includes Welding and NPT. Confirm the actual end connection, selected schedule geometry and material package before assessing the fitting for a boiler joint.
Resolve the selected ends and boiler material package
Specify welded or threaded supply on the end drawing. Butt Weld and Welding wording does not resolve the NPT entry, so confirm bevels, end dimensions and mating-pipe requirements for the actual order. Avoid assigning both connection methods to one fitting without documented selected geometry.
Request the supplied grade, condition, traceability and material inspection records. Verify manufacturing evidence against the FORGED entry, and identify the ASME B16.9 edition, dimensional coverage and required boiler project specifications. Markings on the curved fitting in the photograph do not certify grade, process or schedule conformity.
Define SCH80 wall and long-radius drawing dimensions
The half-inch to 12-inch option is a range, not a selected nominal size. SCH80 requires the applicable size and specification before assigning an actual wall. State outside diameter, bore, wall, angle, radius and centre-to-end dimensions. The photograph cannot measure a 45-degree angle or establish long-radius geometry.
Confirm actual length, height and end tolerances. Repeated dimension and mounting-hole ranges, together with Hexagon wording, do not define a flange or hole layout. Verify actual smooth finish and preservation; the corrosion-resistant label does not demonstrate compatibility with the selected boiler medium and operating environment.
Agree thermal duty and measurable elbow acceptance
Provide medium, contaminants, pressure, temperature, cycles, gradients, loads and joint conditions. Low Pressure and Not Rated entries supply no numerical thermal limit for this order. Review the documented material and geometry against the actual installation. Agree material, dimensional, angle, radius, end, surface and required project tests with criteria and traceable reports before approval.
