This construction piping listing describes a long-radius 90-degree steel elbow with an ASME B16.9 reference. Its actual material option is Carbon Steel. Confirm the selected geometry and connection details before incorporating the elbow into a piping layout or purchase schedule.
Check radius, clearance and pipe alignment
Provide the required bend radius, center-to-end dimensions and available installation space. Review alignment with the adjoining pipe and any relevant support or loading requirements. Long Radius wording identifies the intended geometry but does not supply a measured radius for the chosen size.
Select the actual nominal size, outside diameter, wall and bore within the 1/2–12 inch option range. The same range is repeated under length, height and mounting-hole diameter, so request independent drawing dimensions. Confirm tolerances and availability for the selected combination rather than assuming every size and wall is supplied.
Resolve the ends and material acceptance
The table records Welding together with an NPT thread field. Obtain the actual connection drawing and the relevant end preparation or thread details before planning the joint. These entries do not establish an interchangeable connection or a confirmed mixed-end arrangement.
Confirm the applicable ASME B16.9 edition, actual carbon steel grade and material condition. Request production information, traceability and dimensional or material inspections required by the project. The FORGED and generic Hexagon fields do not provide a complete manufacturing or finished geometry specification.
Review construction duty and supply condition
State the process fluid, pressure, temperature, cycles and external loads. Low Pressure and Not Rated give no numerical allowable envelope. Clarify the Smooth finish and required corrosion protection for the actual environment. Agree marking, preservation, OEM requirements, inspection documents, quantity, delivery and the scope of the three-year warranty with the final fitting specification.
