This construction elbow listing describes a 90-degree long-radius design with an ASME B16.9 reference. Stainless Steel, Forged and Seamless appear in the title, while the selectable material is Carbon Steel. Establish the supplied material and production package before accepting the proposed component for the project.
Resolve supplied material and end geometry
Obtain actual grade, condition and traceability records to clarify the stainless title and carbon steel option. Neither description should be used as the final material specification without supporting documentation. The selected elbow needs one agreed material basis connected to its purchase and inspection requirements.
Welding is named in the title and table, but NPT is also listed. Request the actual end drawing and mating-pipe details to establish the connection. Specify the end preparation or thread requirements that apply, together with the inspections needed to accept the supplied configuration.
Review the long-radius drawing and production scope
Confirm the applicable ASME B16.9 edition and component scope, then define nominal size, measured bend radius, angle, center-to-end dimensions, outside diameter and wall thickness. Long Radius is a design reference rather than a supplied radius measurement, and the 1/2–12 inch option does not provide those dimensions.
Repeated size ranges under length, height and mounting-hole diameter are not drawing measurements. Round and Hexagon fields also need interpretation against the actual geometry. Request the manufacturing and inspection records supporting the Forged and Seamless references, with measurable surface criteria beyond smooth and corrosion resistant wording.
Agree numerical construction operating requirements
Describe the medium, contaminants, pressure, temperature, cycles, transients and loads. Low Pressure and Not Rated leave the allowable numerical limits unverified. Confirm material, dimensional, end and surface inspections, documentation, marking, preservation and delivery for the approved design. Keep OEM requests and warranty terms separate from the technical duty assessment.
