This carbon-steel elbow enquiry includes A105 material, forged construction and a required 90-degree socket-weld connection. The Elbow options and curved-fitting photographs support the family. A selected socket drawing and traceable records are needed before those requirements can be accepted for the actual fitting and mating pipes.

Define both sockets and the required elbow layout

Show actual angle, centre-to-end dimensions and the installation envelope. Identify equal-end nominal sizes, pipe outside diameters and actual walls, explaining what the millimetre labels measure. Specify socket bore, depth, shoulder geometry and the pipe insertion and assembly clearance required by the chosen welding procedure. Check access to both welds and inspection locations. The photographs cannot establish socket shoulders or precise angle for every option, and the Hexagon and mounting-hole fields do not replace that measured drawing.

Resolve fitting-standard scope and A105 production evidence

Agree the applicable fitting standard and edition, including whether the title's ASME B16.5 reference applies to the selected socket-weld elbow construction. That reference alone does not qualify its dimensions or pressure class. Select Carbon Steel for the A105 requirement and obtain the complete material specification, edition and traceable records. Stainless Steel and Alloy alternatives need separate exact assignments. Verify Forged through production and inspection evidence rather than surface appearance or title wording.

Qualify socket assembly, coating and actual service

Match both sockets to the adjoining pipe specifications and define the joining and inspection procedure. Agree preparation, coating coverage and weld-zone condition beyond Painting. Provide fluid, pressure, temperature and corrosion conditions for assessment of the complete socket-weld joint. The Pipe Class 150 label cannot establish allowable service by itself. Confirm offered dimensions and availability separately from Customized Size, then base acceptance on the selected socket drawing and applicable material, production and joint records.
