This instrumentation connection listing uses Sockolet and socket-weld outlet terminology alongside NPT threading. The sole orderable variant is labelled Coupling / 10 mm / Carbon Steel. Treat the outlet wording as an enquiry description until a supplier drawing confirms the actual fitting form and connection allocation.

Identify the process takeoff and instrument interface

Define where the fitting joins the process piping and how the instrument connects. Request the run contact profile, branch passage and end details for an outlet, or a complete coupling drawing if that is the supplied item. The image shows an annular component with a stepped opening; it does not establish the complete installation geometry.

A socket-weld designation and an NPT entry may refer to different proposed interfaces, but the listing does not assign them. Obtain the selected socket or thread details, engagement requirements, dimensional tolerances and joint inspection criteria rather than assuming an end arrangement from the title.

Review instrumentation conditions and mechanical loads

Provide process fluid, pressure, temperature, operating cycles and vibration conditions. Instrument weight, isolation equipment and external loads can affect the connection assessment and support arrangement. Confirm material compatibility and the selected joint requirements for that duty before incorporating the fitting into an instrument hookup.

Class 3000 is a class entry rather than an allowable pressure in psi. Low Pressure supplies no numerical limit. Request the relevant B16.11 edition, applicability to the offered casting and geometry, actual material grade, traceability and inspection documentation.

Check the recorded dimensions against the drawing

The 10 mm option, 4 in overall length and 0.26 in mounting-hole field have different possible roles. Verify each measurement and its units on the selected drawing. Smooth does not define protective treatment, and broad flexible, corrosion, chemical, UV and underground labels do not qualify the component for instrumentation service.
