This ASME/ANSI B16.9 A234 carbon steel tee enquiry covers equal or reducing branch arrangements. Select the actual material and three-port geometry before ordering. Stainless steel alternatives also appear among the available choices, so carbon steel requirements cannot qualify every variant.
Material grade and three-port tee dimensions
A234 alone does not establish WPB or another exact grade. Obtain the selected material specification, grade and heat-traceable certificate, together with the required manufacturing records. Confirm the applicable dimensional document and edition rather than treating the enquiry title as conformity evidence.
For an equal tee, establish matching run and branch designations and walls. For a reducing tee, specify the complete run-by-run-by-branch size arrangement. Check outside diameters, wall transitions and centre-to-end dimensions on a selected drawing. Five millimetre labels, length 4 in and a height without a unit do not define all three ports or every available size.
Verify the female interface and mating details
Female and G appear in the description, but a complete thread designation, engagement and sealing arrangement are still needed. Confirm the actual supplied pipe ends before choosing mating components. Do not substitute NPT or infer butt-weld ends from open gallery bores.
If welded ends are required, obtain the selected drawing with pipe-wall matching and preparation. If female threaded ends are supplied, confirm the complete interface and mating dimensions. Tee photographs help identify the family but cannot qualify actual port sizes, end construction or material.
Class 125 duty and coating requirements
Class 125 remains distinct from other class designations and is not a fixed pressure limit. Assess actual material, wall, temperature, medium and design requirements for the intended industrial or building service. Painting needs coating and inspection details, while Flexible does not prove movement capacity. Send selected grade, all three nominal sizes, equal/reducing drawing, actual ends and operating conditions with the dimensional and material acceptance requirements.
