This pipe elbow page supports a six-inch 90-degree butt-weld enquiry in Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel. Define the required radius clearly before comparing fitting configurations. The selected elbow needs confirmed geometry, actual end dimensions and material specification, together with any seamless-construction condition required by the piping project.
Give the radius a measurable definition
Provide the centerline radius and center-to-end dimensions on a drawing of the required turn. State whether the layout calls for a long- or short-radius configuration, and identify the dimensional standard used for that description. Include the installation envelope where nearby equipment limits space. A radius adjective or product photograph cannot establish that a particular elbow will fit the available layout.
Confirm the six-inch pipe and both interfaces
Distinguish the nominal pipe size from the actual outside diameter and required wall at each end. Ask how the chosen size option maps to that dimensional request. Specify the connection form and preparation for both intended butt-weld ends, including the mating pipe walls. Any thread or other interface requirement needs explicit confirmation instead of being assumed from a general connection label.
Select material and construction for the same fitting
Choose Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel and state its exact grade and material specification. If seamless manufacture is mandatory, include that condition in the request and obtain confirmation for the elbow whose dimensions are being reviewed. Provide the medium, design pressure and temperature so that service suitability can be assessed for the complete configuration. General flexibility or resistance labels do not establish a rating. Review selected-part material, construction and pressure-temperature evidence before choosing the elbow for installation.
