Pipe Class150
This 48-inch carbon-steel pipe-cap enquiry includes A234 WPB, BW, ANSI B16.9, painted-surface and Class 150 references. Confirm the actual supplied size and accepted specification before ordering. Naming alone does not certify availability, material conformity, manufacturing process or numerical service capability.
Reconcile the title size with the actual cap choices
Two actual variants are Cap/Carbon Steel/10 mm and Cap/Carbon Steel/12 mm. Define whether these labels are nominal sizes or measured dimensions, and establish their relationship to the 48-inch reference. They do not independently prove that a cap of the title size is available.
Request material designation, grade, condition and traceable inspection records for A234 WPB requirements. Identify the applicable B16.9 document and edition with accepted component provisions. Obtain a drawing covering end diameter, body profile, depth, wall/end thickness and tolerances rather than deriving dimensions from reference pictures.
Specify the closure and connected pipe interface
The images show cup/domed forms with red-toned exteriors and darker exposed interiors. They cannot establish grade, thickness or a coating system. Resolve Round/Hexagon wording against the supplied drawing. The separate 0.25-inch mounting-hole entry cannot define bore or prove that the closure requires an opening.
Confirm any permitted openings explicitly. Define BW/Welding end preparation against actual connected pipe dimensions, wall and material. Agree relevant joint inspection and installation acceptance. Other manufacturing wording does not establish casting, forging or seamless/welded construction; request the actual route and conformity evidence.
Agree coating inspection and operating acceptance
Specify surface preparation, coating system, internal/external coverage and weld-end exclusions. Establish the governing material-temperature basis behind Class 150. Provide medium, pressure, temperature, cycling, loads and closure-specific requirements; agree material/dimensional inspection, marking/traceability, actual availability and applicable quotation/warranty terms without assumed service commitments.
