This four-inch WP304 stainless steel elbow enquiry focuses on ASME B16.9 and butt-weld requirements. Confirm the actual nominal size, selected material and supplied end construction before ordering. Carbon steel alternatives also appear in the available choices.
Match the four-inch enquiry to the selected elbow
The four millimetre size labels require mapping to nominal pipe designation and measured outside diameter. Overall Length 4 in describes a separate feature and must not be treated as nominal diameter. Obtain wall thickness, bend angle, centreline radius and centre-to-end dimensions for the actual selection.
No angle, radius multiplier or schedule is established across all variants. Confirm installation clearance on the approved drawing. Gallery photographs show different curved examples and finishes; they cannot qualify actual grade, angle or wall from appearance or markings.
Verify WP304 documentation and actual pipe ends
Request the correct material document, issuer and edition for the A403 WP304 requirement, with heat-traceable certification. The original material-document wording needs verification on that certificate. WP304 does not qualify a carbon steel alternative. Obtain manufacturing evidence for the actual supplied route rather than assuming production from the standard name.
Butt Weld is the enquiry focus, while Female appears as connectivity. Female alone does not establish NPT or another thread standard. Obtain the selected end drawing. Required butt-weld ends need bevel, preparation, pipe-wall matching and inspection; another interface needs its complete dimensions and mating requirements. The Casting reference also requires selected process records.
Class 150 service and finish acceptance
Class 150 and Low Pressure do not define a fixed working-pressure limit. Assess material, wall, medium, temperature and applicable design requirements for irrigation, repair or heating service. Painting requires coating details, and Flexible does not prove movement capacity. Provide chosen material and nominal size, bend/end drawing, actual route and operating conditions with the dimensional, material and process acceptance requirements.
