This pipe-fitting enquiry brings together stainless flange terminology, grade references 304 and 316, and lap-joint, welded, RF and blind arrangements. Establish the actual fitting identity and selected construction before ordering. These labels do not describe one combined flange configuration.
Choose the fitting and open or closed arrangement
Ask for a drawing identifying the actual component, pipe interface and mating assembly. A through-bore ring and a solid-centre closure serve different requirements; gallery examples do not establish the component supplied with every variant. Confirm whether a lap-joint companion and stub-end assembly are required.
For a welded selection, specify the joining geometry, pipe wall, preparation and inspection. For a blind selection, establish closure duty and sealing details. Do not turn the Weld Butting wording into a verified weld-neck design without a selected drawing.
Separate grade selection from flange dimensions
Stainless Steel, Alloy and Carbon Steel are separate material options. Choose the exact specification and grade with a matching material certificate. The 304 and 316 references cannot qualify carbon steel or an unspecified alloy, and photograph colour cannot establish composition.
Map the five millimetre size labels to nominal pipe size and an approved drawing. Customized Size requires agreed dimensions. Confirm bore or blank centre, outside diameter, thickness, bolt circle and hole pattern. The isolated 0.26 in mounting-hole entry does not establish all selections.
Facing finish and Class 150 service checks
Confirm RF dimensions, measured sealing-surface finish, compatible gasket and bolting. Smooth does not define roughness, and Forged needs selected manufacturing evidence. Class 150 is not a fixed working-pressure value; assess actual material, temperature, medium and applicable design requirements. Send the confirmed identity, configuration drawing, material and nominal size, mating details and operating duty with the enquiry. Request dimensional, material and manufacturing acceptance records for the chosen component.
