This pipe tee page supports a carbon steel enquiry where branch geometry, welded end connections and body construction need to be specified separately. Identify whether the required tee is equal or reducing before choosing dimensions. Any seamless-manufacturing requirement should then be confirmed for the exact fitting, alongside the material and joining details.

Define equal or reducing branch geometry

Show the two run ends and the branch on a drawing. State whether all three nominal sizes must be the same or whether the branch is smaller than the run. Give the actual diameters, wall thicknesses and center-to-end dimensions for the required arrangement. A single size selector cannot establish the relationship between all three connections or resolve the branch geometry on its own.

Separate welded ends from body manufacture

A required welded connection describes how the fitting joins the piping. State the end form and preparation needed at each intended weld, including the wall of the mating pipe. If the project requires a seamless fitting body, include that as a separate construction condition and request evidence for the selected tee. The joining method alone does not establish how the body was manufactured.

Complete the grade and qualification request

Select Carbon Steel and provide the exact grade and material specification required by the project. A Stainless Steel choice needs a separate grade specification and should not inherit the carbon steel requirement. Include the service medium, design pressure and temperature, and identify the governing dimensional standard. Before final selection, review the three-end drawing together with material, construction and service qualification for the same configuration. Generic pressure-class or flexibility labels are insufficient to establish the tee rating or suitability for an installation.
