This flanged industrial ball valve enquiry concerns a floating-ball arrangement with WCB, SS304 or 316 and low-temperature requirements to be confirmed. Identify one exact material specification and the selected model before assessing service suitability. The required internal form, operating temperatures and function need dedicated documentation rather than a general product label.
Confirm floating construction and separate material requirements
Request the selected valve's section drawing and confirmation of its internal arrangement. Specify the pressure-containing body, ball and seat materials separately, choosing the exact WCB or stainless requirement needed by the project. A list of several grades does not describe one material configuration. External appearance, paint colour or a general casting option cannot establish the composition or internal support of the selected valve.
Define minimum temperature and the flanged interface
State the minimum and maximum service temperatures with the intended medium, design pressure and operating mode. Ask for the material and sealing qualification that applies under those conditions. Obtain the actual flange, port and face-to-face dimensions and compare them with the mating pipework. A qualitative low-temperature description does not define a tested minimum, and a broad size range does not establish the selected connection geometry.
Verify any additional functional duty
If the project also requires pressure-relief duty, request dedicated functional and qualification evidence before assigning that role to the valve. A ball-valve name alone does not establish a relief function or its operating limits. Confirm the actual manual actuation and intended duty with the selected-model documentation. Before acceptance, review the internal arrangement, exact material set, interface and temperature envelope together, and keep any additional functional requirement subject to its own applicable evidence and scope.
