This JIS B2312 carbon steel elbow enquiry is presented for a 90-degree butt-weld connection. Confirm the actual joining-end arrangement before choosing a size or assessing the component for construction piping.
Establish the connection before accepting the bend drawing
A butt-weld request needs selected bevel and root-face dimensions, compatible pipe wall, welding procedure and inspection. Any threaded requirement needs its own thread size, form, engagement and mating-part acceptance. Obtain an accepted end drawing rather than assuming one component meets both arrangements.
For the requested 90-degree elbow, define measured angle, bend radius, center-to-end dimensions, end diameters, bores, wall thickness and tolerances. Bend and Hexagon wording does not supply this complete geometry. Curved photographs assist visual comparison without certifying angle, radius or the actual delivered material.
Separate the carbon selection from reference image markings
The sole actual selection is Elbow / 1/2-inch to 12-inch / Carbon Steel. Choose exact size and confirm its nominal or outside-diameter basis. The repeated range under length, height and mounting-hole diameter does not establish those measurements or create separate selectable sizes.
Request the selected carbon steel grade, product specification, heat-traceable certificate and production inspection records. Visible 316 and radius markings on a reference photograph do not certify the carbon steel selection. A forged requirement needs actual manufacturing evidence. Agree the applicable JIS B2312 edition and required compliance documentation rather than relying on the standard name alone.
Specify finish resistance and the complete operating basis
Smooth appearance does not identify coating chemistry or establish corrosion performance. Define the accepted finish and exposure requirements against the actual fluid and environment. Construction wording alone does not qualify service.
Low Pressure and Not Rated provide no numerical pressure-temperature envelope. Send fluid composition, temperature, pressure and cycling with accepted ends, exact-size elbow drawing, material and manufacturing evidence, JIS requirements and finish criteria. Compatibility and operating acceptance must cover the installed joint and mating pipe.
