This painted carbon steel fitting is described as an equal tee, with B16.9 and A234 WPB references. Its table lists Welding and Equal, and the original image contains tee-shaped fittings. Actual purchase variants instead use Reducer labels, so the final order should identify the confirmed tee geometry.

Establish what corrosion protection the service needs

Corrosion-resistant wording does not identify a compatible fluid or a protection system. Describe the internal medium, contaminants, concentration and temperature, together with the external exposure. The supplier needs those conditions to assess the selected steel, any corrosion allowance and the required surface protection.

Specify whether protection concerns the internal passage, external surface or both. Where painting is required, agree preparation, coating materials, applied thickness, curing and inspection. The photographed fittings have visible surface finishes, but appearance alone cannot establish their chemistry, durability or performance in the intended environment.

Verify the equal tee and material selection

Reconcile the Reducer option with the title and table using a dimensioned drawing. Confirm run and branch nominal sizes, bores, wall dimensions and center-to-end measurements. The half-inch to 110-inch entry does not identify a particular manufactured size or establish availability throughout that range.

Carbon Steel and a234wpb are separate choices requiring selected grade, condition and traceability records. Verify the forging claim, applicable B16.9 edition, dimensional tolerances and inspection results for the offered item. Do not use generic Hexagon, mounting-hole or customized thread fields to infer the actual welded connection design.

Set operating and acceptance requirements

The High Pressure entry supplies no numerical allowable limit. Provide operating pressure, temperature, cycles and mechanical loads for the material and joint assessment. Agree weld-end preparation, relevant tests, coating checks and project acceptance documents for the selected configuration before relying on the broad performance wording.
