This forged DIN/ANSI B16.5 Class 1500 stainless blind-flange enquiry requires an accepted closure specification. Select the intended SS304 or SS316L requirements and confirm the exact supplied component. A title reference alone cannot certify closed construction, material conformity or numerical pressure capability.
Confirm the closure before accepting reference images
The inspected pictures show drilled open-bore rings with different appearances. They do not establish the blind closure being quoted. Require a drawing identifying a solid closure or any explicitly approved openings, along with supplied-component identity and relevant inspection responsibilities.
Actual records contain fifteen Flange alternatives: each 10 mm, 12 mm, 14 mm, 50 mm and 30 mm label is paired with Stainless Steel, Alloy or Carbon Steel. Explain the selected label's nominal or measured role. Obtain material designation, grade, condition and traceability rather than applying stainless title grades to every alternative.
Approve the sealing face and closure dimensions
Specify closure thickness, outside diameter, face geometry and finish, bolt circle, hole quantity and diameters, and tolerances. The separate 0.26-inch mounting-hole entry cannot define the complete joint. Customized Size and Equal/Hexagon wording need confirmation against the agreed drawing.
Identify the governing B16.5 document and edition, plus any required DIN/ANSI provisions. Multiple names do not establish interchangeable patterns. Explain any Welding requirement by the actual supplied component, without presuming a welded blind arrangement. Request relevant forged-production and dimensional/material inspection evidence.
Establish a documented Class 1500 service basis
Class naming requires governing material-temperature records and actual duty. Provide medium, pressure, temperature, cycling, loads and closure-specific requirements. Agree mating flange, gasket, bolting, installation and acceptance criteria. Define painting coverage and functional-face exclusions; confirm OEM/ODM/OBM deliverables, marking/traceability and the stated one-year warranty terms.
