This custom carbon steel pipe-reducer enquiry is presented for oil applications. Its title combines Seamless, Welded and Casting references, while the table lists male/female NPT connections and Equal geometry. Establish the actual manufacturing and end arrangement before accepting a supplied configuration.
Separate manufacturing route from the joining requirement
Ask how the seamless, welded and cast terms apply to the ordered parts and connections. Obtain production and inspection records that resolve their scope rather than choosing a route from the wording alone. Specify the actual end preparation, full NPT designation, engagement, mating components and sealing detail.
The ANSI B16.5 reference also needs an identified role and edition for the component or mating system. It does not provide a complete reducer drawing by itself. Agree the governing dimensional requirements, including any separately required weld interface, with conformity evidence for the selected supply.
Turn the size labels into a both-end drawing
Actual options offer 10, 12, 14, 50 and 30 mm in Stainless Steel or Carbon Steel. Confirm each dimensional role and select the material package. Resolve Equal wording against the reducer function using both end sizes, wall, transition and orientation on an accepted drawing.
Allocate the 4 in overall length and 0.25 in hole to their components, and confirm the unit for height 8. No wall schedule or concentric/eccentric form is stated. Obtain full grade, specification, condition and traceability, then define Smooth finish acceptance and protection for delivery.
Check the selected oil service and evidence
Provide oil composition, additives, pressure, temperature, cycling, corrosion, exposure and loads. Qualitative low-pressure and unrated entries leave numerical duty open. Obtain evidence for any required flexibility or chemical, corrosion and UV resistance. Agree component/joint acceptance, installation clearance, alignment, testing, marking and material, process, dimensional and finish records in the quotation.
