This carbon-steel elbow enquiry requests a 90-degree short-radius layout with DN50, SCH80, SCH40S and ANSI B16.9 references. The Elbow variants and curved-fitting photographs support the family. Select the actual size and wall, then verify the compact elbow geometry and applicable standard requirements before accepting the intended installation.
Resolve nominal size and one actual wall designation
Map DN50 to the selected nominal pipe designation and actual outside diameter. Explain the millimetre options; a 50 mm choice is not an automatic DN50 match. Resolve whether SCH80 or SCH40S applies to the selected material and size, with measured pipe and fitting walls. Do not treat the two unassigned title labels as one wall value. Confirm equal-end dimensions and welding preparation rather than relying on the Hexagon or mounting-hole entries.
Verify the short-radius layout and dimensional standard
Request actual angle, centreline radius, centre-to-end dimensions, tangent lengths and installation envelope. Check the proposed ANSI B16.9 requirements and edition for the chosen short-radius construction; a title reference alone is not conformity evidence. The photographs cannot establish exact angle, radius or wall for every option. Select Carbon Steel with an exact material specification and traceable grade, while Stainless Steel and Alloy alternatives need separate assignments. Verify Forged through production and inspection records.
Match the elbow to its welded pipe assembly
Coordinate pipe axes, actual walls, end preparation, joining procedure and inspection access at both connections. Define Painting through surface preparation, coating specification and weld-zone condition. Supply fluid, pressure, temperature, corrosion and mechanical loads for complete-assembly assessment. Pipe Class 150 alone does not establish permissible duty. Confirm offered dimensions and availability beyond Customized Size, then accept the selected size, wall and radius drawing with its material, manufacturing, standard and joint evidence.
