A threaded pipe coupling request should identify whether a half or full form is needed and how its ends will connect. Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel are separate material choices for this product, while the actual connection dimensions and coupling form require confirmation.
Choose the half or full form for the assembly
Show the intended coupling arrangement on a drawing and identify the function of each connection end. Half and full forms should be requested distinctly rather than treated as equivalent parts. Clarify whether an equal or reducing connection is required, and include the overall length and engagement requirements that matter to the assembly, so the selected form has one clear dimensional reference.
Give each mating end its own thread requirement
Specify both connection sizes with units and the applicable thread standard and form. A single pipe-size label or a general female/male descriptor cannot establish a complete pair of mating ends. Confirm the thread details and end dimensions together for the requested coupling, including any preparation needed at an unthreaded attachment, rather than relying on the appearance of a reference part.
Check the material and class for that exact coupling
Name the required steel grade within the selected material family and identify any manufacturing requirement that the project imposes. Confirm the applicable class and pressure-temperature suitability for the same form and end arrangement; a class label is not a direct working-pressure value. Include the medium and design conditions in the technical enquiry. The final coupling request should connect half/full form, both end specifications and material grade to one assembly drawing before a particular part is chosen.
