This carbon-steel pipe-end cap enquiry includes SCH80 and XS wall references with a black-painted finish requirement. Cap options and the single domed-cap photograph support the family. Reconcile the selected wall designation and pipe fit before accepting actual dimensions, material or complete welded-closure service.
Resolve the wall designation for the selected cap size
Identify nominal pipe size, actual outside diameter, mating wall and measured cap thickness. Define overall height, crown or profile and welding-end preparation. Explain the millimetre labels and resolve SCH80 and XS under the chosen dimensional standard and size; the labels alone do not establish one thickness or equivalence. The imported Elbow name, Equal, Hexagon and mounting-hole fields do not replace a cap drawing. The photograph cannot qualify actual wall or profile dimensions across all choices.
Specify carbon steel, production and black painting
Select Carbon Steel for this enquiry and obtain a complete material specification, edition and traceable grade records. Mild Steel does not identify an exact grade. Stainless Steel and Alloy alternatives require separate material assignments. Agree the applicable fitting standard and verify Forged with production and inspection evidence. Define black painting through surface preparation, coating specification, coverage and weld-zone condition. A dark surface cannot establish coating type, manufacturing route or material composition.
Assess the cap and pipe as one end closure
Confirm the intended welded construction and match the cap mouth and preparation to the adjoining pipe. Agree joining procedure, circumferential weld access and inspection requirements. Provide fluid, pressure, temperature, corrosion and mechanical loads for complete-closure assessment. Pipe Class 150 alone does not establish allowable duty. Confirm offered dimensions and availability separately from Customized Size, then agree acceptance using the selected size/wall drawing and material, manufacturing, coating and welded-closure evidence.
