This straight-tee enquiry concerns a butt-weld run-and-branch connection with carbon-steel and stainless-steel choices and ASME/ANSI B16.9 requirements. The TEE options and photograph support the tee family. A selected drawing and matching records are still needed to establish the dimensions, material and acceptance requirements of the actual three-ended fitting.
Identify the run and branch on one tee drawing
State the nominal size of both run ends and the branch separately. For a straight/equal requirement, confirm their matching sizes through measured outside diameters, actual walls and end details. Record branch orientation and centre-to-end distances. Explain the millimetre labels instead of treating one size entry as a complete run-by-branch specification. Check branch location, nearby supports and access to all three welds against the adjoining pipes. The image does not verify equal-end dimensions for every option.
Assign the selected material and dimensional requirements
Confirm the applicable B16.9 edition and dimensional inspection for the chosen tee. Select Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel or Alloy and request the exact material specification and grade. Neither a specific grade nor a wall schedule is established by these generic choices. Define butt-weld preparation and compatibility with each mating pipe. The Hexagon and mounting-hole fields cannot replace tee measurements. Request traceable manufacturing and inspection evidence before accepting Forged as the actual production route.
Assess coating and the complete three-ended connection
Agree surface preparation, coating coverage and weld-zone condition beyond Painting. Provide the fluid, pressure, temperature and corrosion conditions with the joining and inspection procedure for service assessment. Pipe Class 1000 alone does not establish allowable duty. Customized Size also does not prove arbitrary dimensional capability or availability. Keep acceptance linked to the selected run/branch drawing, actual walls, material records and documented requirements for all three welded ends.
