This fitting enquiry centres on a stainless-steel union with 304 or 316 and threaded or socket-weld requirements. Select the actual Union option before assigning that configuration to the offered item, because Nipple alternatives are also present. The B16.11 and butt-welding references need a model-specific explanation rather than being treated as universal conformity or connection claims.
Select the union and its actual ends
Request a section drawing and component specification for the selected union assembly. Identify the actual threaded, socket-welded or other documented pipe ends. For threads, state the governing standard, nominal size, gender and engagement; the internally threaded photographs do not identify the standard. A socket-weld requirement needs socket and pipe-fit dimensions, while any butt-weld proposal requires separate end preparation. Union assembly and sealing requirements should not be transferred to a nipple option.
Confirm the standard and stainless grade
Ask which standard and edition govern the offered union or nipple and how the B16.11 reference applies to that construction. Specify 304 or 316 with its exact material specification and traceable records for the stainless-steel item. Alloy and carbon-steel alternatives need independent grade identification. Request production and inspection evidence before accepting the Forged label as the actual route. Generic material wording and photographic appearance do not establish grade or conformity.
Coordinate dimensions and assembly acceptance
Explain the millimetre option's nominal-size basis and provide bore, wall, end and overall assembly dimensions. For a union, define component compatibility, sealing details and access for the agreed assembly and inspection procedure. Supply fluid, pressure, temperature, corrosion and joining conditions for assessment of the complete connection. Pipe Class 1000, Smooth and Customized Size do not establish a qualified rating, measured finish or manufacturing capacity. Acceptance should link the selected type and end drawing to exact material, compatible assembly details and traceable records.
