This ASTM A234 WPB carbon steel welded tee listing targets high-temperature steam pipelines. The selectable type is labeled Reducer, while the title and original image support a tee family. Confirm the actual supplied component and material condition before accepting a configuration for the thermal requirements of the installation.
Verify WPB supply and actual manufacturing scope
Request the applicable ASTM edition and material scope, supplied grade, condition, traceability and inspection documentation. A234 WPB in a title or option is not a certificate for the order. Agree the actual material package with the project requirements, including the documentation needed to assess the intended thermal duty.
Clarify whether Welded describes the connection, component construction or both. Obtain production and inspection records supporting the Forged table reference rather than assigning a route from a family image. The photograph cannot certify manufacturing method, measured wall thickness or high-temperature capability for the selected fitting.
Approve tee dimensions and thermal surface requirements
Provide run and branch sizes, bore, diameters, wall, center-to-end dimensions and welding end details with tolerances. Confirm Equal geometry and the selected option mapping on the approved drawing. Hexagon, Customized Size and Metric entries do not supply measured values, so agree explicit units and dimensional inspection criteria.
Specify Painting treatment, covered surfaces, surface acceptance and inspection records for the actual temperature and exposure conditions. Dark appearance does not establish coating chemistry or heat resistance. Define handling and preservation requirements separately, with material and end records linked to the component represented by the order.
Set numerical steam service acceptance
State actual steam conditions, contaminants, pressure, temperature, thermal cycles, transients and loads. High Temperature, High Pressure and Other class leave allowable limits unspecified. Evaluate the confirmed material condition, wall, geometry and joints, then agree project-required inspections, documentation, marking, protection and delivery before approving the supplied fitting.
