This tube listing addresses petrochemical heat exchangers using ASTM A213, T22 alloy and seamless wording. The retained specification table instead includes Non-Alloy, stainless steel and ERW. Confirm what material and construction will actually be supplied before comparing the tube with an exchanger requirement.
Resolve T22 supply and tube specification coverage
Obtain the ordered material specification, grade, condition, traceability and inspection documents. Actual T22 or stainless supply cannot be established from the competing classifications. Request manufacturing records to determine seamless or ERW production. Bundled round tubes and blue end covers in the original photograph do not verify either grade or route.
Identify the ASTM A213 edition, applicable product coverage and required conformity package for the selected order. General API and ISO 9001 labels do not demonstrate heat-exchanger approval. Establish the actual material properties needed by the project through accepted documentation rather than inferring heat resistance or corrosion behaviour from title wording.
Define the exchanger tube geometry and end requirements
Choose a specific wall within the listed 6–20 mm range and identify whether the order uses the 12 m or 6 m length option. Specify outside diameter, bore, length, straightness, roundness and ends on the exchanger drawing. The broad 219–1066 mm diameter entry needs reconciliation with the actual tube position and mating parts.
Agree the measurement scope and acceptance basis for ±1%. Confirm the supplied Cold Rolled finish, Non-oiled condition and protection of ends and surfaces. State the required end preparation and joint criteria; the photograph cannot establish dimensional fit, surface cleanliness or suitability for the proposed exchanger connection.
Assess the actual petrochemical exchanger conditions
Identify the exchanger side, fluid composition, contaminants, pressure, temperature, thermal cycling, gradients and loads. Evaluate the confirmed material condition, geometry and joints against this duty. Agree material, surface, dimensional, end and required project tests with explicit criteria and traceable reports before accepting the supply.
